Cooking Catfish

If your hungry for some catfish your in luck. Catfish is one of the easiest fish to catch and often have no bag limit in AZ. Here is a list of some easy recipe links and videos on how to cook catfish. Catfish is a white meat I suggest frying it if you have a sweet skillet. Both channel and flathead meat is firm. It's noted by the Game and Fish Department that flathead can have a "muddy" taste in the summer and channel a "sweet" taste. If you have one to share post it below.

It is amazing how long a catfish will live out of the water. I fillet one at Lake Powell and the thing was still living after one side was gone. Some people will nail them to something while they skin them.

I've seen my buddy eat catfish raw when he was drunk at Lake Powell.
