Fishing Fool Hollow Lake ArizonaFool Hollow Lake, in the White Mountains just outside of Show Low, covers 140 surface acres. Average depth for the impoundment is 23 feet, though it does plummet to as deep as 60 feet. The lake offers more than 5 miles of shoreline.
Species available include rainbow and brown trout, largemouth bass, crappie, sunfish, channel catfish, walleye and even an occasional smallmouth bass. The bass fishing is good enough here for a couple of the White Mountain bass clubs to routinely use the waterway for tournaments. In fact, on May 10, 2002 a 5-pound, 14,56-ounce smallmouth bass was caught and released here.
Walleye fishing is pretty good too. as evidenced by the 12-pound, 11-ounce lunker caught here in September 2002 on a Rapala Countdown. Catfisherment won't come away disappointed either. An 11-ound, 5.44-ounce channel cat was caught here on September 28 2002. -G.J. Sagi, from the essential travel handbook Fishing Arizona Fool Hollow Lake Arizona Map
