Fishing At Lake Powell Arizona.
Lake Powell is one of the two largest bodies of water in Arizona. It would be the biggest but technically half of the lake is in Utah. Lake Powell was created by the construction of the Glen Canyon Dam. You could spend a lifetime at Lake Powell and never see the whole lake. It has deep canyons that go on for days. Lake Powell is Famous for Striped Bass Fishing. There are tournaments and contest every year at Lake Powell for big Stripers. If you go fishing at Lake Powell you will need to buy a Lake Powell stamp to ad to your fishing licenses. I would recommend buying a two pole stamp as well. HookedAZ.com is currently looking for authors who would like to write a summary about Lake Powell. See the link "Become an Author".

Directions to Lake Powell ArizonaThere are many different parts of Lake Powell to visit so directions kind of depend on what part of the lake you will be visiting. The most popular destination is Waweep and Antelope Marina in Page. To get to Page from Phoenix you take the I17 to Flagstaff and then 89 north to Page. Its about a two hour drive to Flag and then another 2 hour drive to Page. There's alternated routes to get to the back side of the lake from the southeast corner of Utah if you decide to visit Halls Crossing or Dangling Rope. If you have the time to drive to the back side and you don't need many accommodations, you can enjoy world class fishing without the crowd.
