If your visiting Laughlin to do some gaming, do some fishing as well. The best part of visiting Laughlin is the fact that the Colorado River runs in front of the town dividing Arizona and Nevada.
You can rent boats in Laughlin and head out for a day of fishing for striped bass, largemouth bass, smallmouth, carp and trout when stocked. Below are the weekly reports for the NDOW.

Striper action has picked up this week with anglers reeling in several fish topping
Striper action is sluggish, though fish have been caught from Davis Camp south past the Avi. Anglers are still catching a few rainbow trout in the Big Bend area during the early morning hours. One lucky angler reeled in a pair of plump rainbows
Fishing along the Colorado River has slowed though rainbow trout, bluegill and striped bass can all be caught along Casino Row and from there south past the Avi.
One lucky angler reeled in a 13.75-inch bluegill that weighed in at about 2.4 pounds while fishing with night crawlers. Anglers are still catching large rainbow
Anchovies fooled a hefty rainbow caught in the Big Bend area. Rusty at the Riviera Marina said the fish tipped the scales at 4.8 pounds and measured nearly 23 inches long. Anglers also are catching striped bass, largemouth bass and catfish as large as seven pounds.
Cut baits are fooling striped bass and catfish from Davis Camp south past Casino Row. Anglers also are catching rainbow trout.

Fishing continues to improve in the river from Davis Dam south with both the striper and catfish bite showing marked improvement. Anglers continue to catch rainbow trout from deeper holes.
Anglers are finding improved fishing for striped bass as well as catfish. Deep holes are holding rainbow trout.
Anglers are finding slow fishing for rainbow trout left over from winter stocking activity, but striped bass action is beginning to improve. The stripers have been very active near the Avi.
