Fishing At Stehr Lake Arizona

Stehr Lake is not known as a famous fishing spot in Arizona. Its main use is as a backup water supply for the Childs Hydroelectric Plants. The only reports of this lake are bad. They say the lake is low and full of cattails. It located at the very bottom of the coconiono National Forest off Childs Power Road on the way to Fossil Creek. There is Verde River access all around this area so it might be worth taking a look at if your in the area. Electric trolling motors are probably your best bet here. "The last we report we had on this lake on 6/30/2010 is that Stehr Lake was empty after the removal of the flumes"

Directions to Stehr Lake Arizona

To get to Stehr Lake take General Crook Trail (260) east to Fossile Creek Road and go south to you reach Childs Power Road. Take and right and look for the small body of water about 5 minutes away.
