Urban Lakes

I am trying to find new places to fish. I recently have been going to Tempe Town Lake and fishing the north bank by the Light Rail Bridge. It seems to be very spotty, not to mention I hate that if you are fishing from the bank you are so high up. I am going to try and fish a couple of the urban lakes and see what I can find. I prefer to go after bass. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was going to try Discovery Park in Gilbert. My son has practice there and I figured it would be a good way to pass the time while I wait...

 

Hi mesmith0426, Fishing is hard at Tempe Town Lake but still fun I like easy fishing I'm huge bass fishermen. Wither its smalls, large mouth bass I don't care...lol In town...Try Ocotillo Lakes. ( Dobson / Price ) Bass arrange from 1lbs to 12lbs. The average is 3lbs I guess. I catch monster fish there. Try throwing a Rattle Trapp, or some kind of plastic or drop shot. I've been using the Trout Magnet on 4lbs line and set the drag real light! I'm pulling in 7,8lbs large mouth bass with it...lol Pretty much everywhere I fish that Trout Magnet works better then anything ells. ANYTHING. Well good luck and hope to see you out there
