    Hi all,

New to this site, so glad to find it. For the most part, I've been fishing the East Valley's fishing areas (i.e. Desert Breeze, Veterans Oasis a bit, McQueen Pond, and the ASU research park lakes....the summer affords me some extra time, so I wanted to get input as to what areas are worth visiting here in the East Valley....doesn't matter, lakes, ponds, canals around Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, and South Mesa....

I do a lot of catch and release, but love to eat catfish and bluegill if the waters are safe....

    any input would be appreciated...

good luck on your own fishing endeavors...

As stated above lower salt, Canyon, Saguaro but if you looking for urban fishing ponds the east valley has plenty of those as well. Red Mountain Park, Chaparral, Desert Breeze and many more.

Hit the bigger lakes. They put to much crap in the park ponds. I would never eat fish from there.
