  • At 138 surface acres, Crescent Lake shouldn't be overshadowed by any body of water, but it's nearest neighbor, Big Lake, does exactly that. Crescent Lake offers shore fishermen a total of 4.5 miles of shoreline to work.

This impoundment is home to rainbow and brook trout. Annually it will receive around three rainbow trout stockings, the first in early May and the last in late June. This lake is something special, and I've enjoyed every day I've spent here. -G.J Sagi, from the travel handbook Fishing Arizona

Bait and shore fishermen can try night crawlers and Power Bait. Rocky points on the west side are good for shore anglers when the lake is weedy. Boat anglers consistently do better at Crescent than shore fishermen. Boaters can try trolling with flies, such as wooly buggers, prince nymphs or peacock ladies, or use spinners like Panther Martins, small Mepps or Rooster Tails. - Arizona Game and Fish

Fishing is excellent! Fish population survey show good holdover numbers on brook trout and nice healthy rainbow trout (16in). We have stocked this lake heavily this year with more brook trout and rainbow trout. Go try out your luck before you even hit Big Lake! Brook trout are being caught, as are rainbow trout. Try black or olive green wooly buggers. Large rainbows 14-18 inches are being caught from boats and shore! Fishing pier and boat docks are accessible!

Inaccessible and ice covered. Ice may be unsafe with warm winter days melting the ice. A winterkill is NOT predicted here as of Feb. 16. We look forward to fishing for large rainbow trout and brook trout in the spring! Highways 261 and 273 are closed for the winter.

There is a project in the works to replace the fishing pier with something that works. Just not enough money to follow through with it in the near future.

There are no boat rentals at the lake. Live bait fishing is prohibited except for worms.

The fishing dock used to accessable to people with disabilities but for the past few years it has been detached from its original place & just kind of up on the shore...Was just wondering if anyone knew if it was ever goning to be reattached and anchored down to where it originally was??
