  • Riverview Lake is a urban lake at Riverview Park at 2100 W 8th St open from sunrise to 10pm.The rules for this lake are as follows from the Arizona Game and Fish Urban Fishing Program: Swimming, wading, glass containers and littering are prohibited. No distilled alcoholic beverages permitted. Boating not allowed. No pets allowed in park. Other rules as posted.

    Daily Bag and Possession Limits; 4 catfish,4 trout,2 bass (13 inch minimum) 10 sunfish, Statewide limits apply to all other species.

    “April 23, evening, 10.65 pound (channel catfish) on cut shad at Riverview Park.

    Also the recently stocked crappie have dispersed through the lake and are doing well. (I have caught a few at multiple locations, when cast-netting for shad. I have been fortunate to have a few 6-inch shad swim under the net. What I find interesting is I have yet to have a bass take a free-swimming shad under a float (day break or evening). I know the bass are there because they show up in my net. Just makes me think there is a lot of food. To pass up such a live offering ?

    Last, I let a young boy (under 10) struggle to land a 4-pound cat while his dad captured the moment with his phone. The best being when it finally surfaced.

    “Tul” Tuileva: This fish (rainbow trout) was caught on Friday, Jan. 6, and weighed 2.1 pounds and was 18 inches long. azgfd weekly roundup.

    I've tried top water at sun rise, every kind of plastic you can imagine from weightless Senkos to dropshoting lizards, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, and standard crank baits. Not a single hit on anything. I know the sign says it's got Largemouth in it, but I have to disagree. The guys at Bass Pro across the street say they've been pulling out 4 pounders underneath the bridges (the only structure in the lake), but like I said, I haven't had a single hit...
