Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has found any decent fishing spots recently on the Gila. I grew up fishing it in Yuma and would like to try it again. Was particularly curious about the stretches near the 85 north of Gila bend. Thanks, Zach

Welcome friends....i just joined this forumand would like to "toss in my 2 cents" I found a spot on the gila river ( buckeye) where the fishing is "the bomb" problem is i am not giving away the exact spot! two nice clues in the sentence above...2lbs all day with a mixture of 4,5,6,lbs... Fish caught on Canyon. Bass are sitting on beds, but are occupied with running away other fish. Drop shot is working well along the shore , in areas no deeper than 25 ft, and along cliff edges. Early moring is the most active, but many areas are producing larger and aggressive bass. Temp is sitting around 58.5 degrees and heating up for spring spawn.

Anyone know when the smallmouth start biting at havasu. Late March, Early March, Early April?
