Hello

I've been an Arizona resident my whole life - 27 years. I have also never been fishing and would like to start fishing. I live in Tucson and mostly my connection with the outdoors comes from backpack and hunting, both of which I started late in life as an adult a few years ago. Now I think it is time to get a little taste for fishing.

I don't think I'd have the schedule to be a fisherman year round, but I would like the opportunity to go a few times to half a dozen times...
I know the lakes are quite a bit difference in size but I am trying to pick a first time in a boat fishing trip for my boys. The main reason I want somewhere to run above no wake is this is my first time with a used motor I purchased.

Howdy y'all, I'm moving from Texas to the Phoenix area for 8 months. I mostly catfished back in Texas, but I am down to try new things fishing wise. What lakes are the most well known for big catfish? Is shore fishing viable for these catfish? What bait should I use here? In Texas we'd hook the biggest live shad we could find and you'd be able to catch decently big(25-35lb) catfish from the shore of some of the bigger lakes. I'm not going to have a boat and I didn't bring any of my gear...
"With the great runoff into Roosevelt, lake levels are on the rise with new structure being added to the water that correlates to great fishing.

If you are an angler and have a boat, it has probably been stored in a garage or under a boat cover for much of the last five months. Well, it’s time to make a systematic check of all the operational equipment.
After a lengthy period of non-use,...
