The Bill Williams National Wildlife Refuge is a popular spot along the Colorado River for Bird watching. You can also fish at the refuge for Largemouth, striped bass and catfish. If you are going to be fishing at the BWWF you will need an Arizona Fishing license.
Note: The Bill Williams Wildlife Refuge is used to grow native fish that are transported to other lakes along the Colorado River, fishing for species other than the above listed is prohibited.
You can launch boats from parker canyon road on mile south of the refuge and hand launched boats can be launched from the headquarters. You will want to take your boat out by 4 if you hand launch.
I have personally never fished here so I cannot tell you if its great or not. I have however drove past this spot on numerous times to Lake Havasu. I would definitely recommend it just for sight seeing. It's a very unique looking spot along the Colorado with tall grass.
