Located south of Winslow, Clear Creek Reservoir features largemouth bass, sunfish, channel catfish, bullheads, rainbow trout and carp. Camping can be found near the waterway at Winslow's McHood Park. There you'll also find ramadas, grills and restrooms. To get to the park take State Route 87 south from Winslow to State Route 99 and turn left. It's about 5 miles from Winslow.
The waterway averages 45 surface acres, although it often swells to 85. At an elevation of 4,867 feet, it can be a little cool in the winter or early spring, but it's one of those relatively unknown getaways ideal for the entire family. -G.J Sagi, from the travel handbook Fishing Arizona
