    Inaccessible and ice covered. Ice may be unsafe with warm winter days melting the ice. A winterkill is NOT predicted here as of Feb. 16. We look forward to fishing for large rainbow trout and brook trout in the spring! Highways 261 and 273 are closed for the winter.

    Fishing is excellent! Fish population survey show good holdover numbers on brook trout and nice healthy rainbow trout (16in). We have stocked this lake heavily this year with more brook trout and rainbow trout. Go try out your luck before you even hit Big Lake! Brook trout are being caught, as are rainbow trout. Try black or olive green wooly buggers. Large rainbows 14-18 inches are being caught from boats and shore! Fishing pier and boat docks are accessible!
