    We tried to get to sheeps crossing once near Horseshoe Dam to go the backway. Picked the wrong spot and put the jeep completely underwater. Be careful where you cross.

    Sheep's Crossing and Sheep Bridge are two different places. Sheep Bridge is on the Verde River, is currently accessible, and yes there is smallmouth bass fishing there. Sheep's Crossing is on the West Fork of Little Colorado River near 9,000 feet elevation and has only Apache trout. Sheep's Crossing is on Hwy 273, which is currently closed for the winter due to snow pack.
