Tempe Town Lake Closed from debris

March 1st, Tempe Town Lake is closed indefinitely for boating, fishing and other water activities because increased storm runoff has brought large amounts of debris into the waterway.

Salt River Project is releasing 20,000 cubic feet of water per second from the Granite Reef Dam into the Salt River to reduce excess water in the system

As of March 3rd, it was reported the lake is still a mess.
